By the End of 2024, Two-Thirds of Commercial Banks May Join the National Cashback Program

By the end of 2024, up to two-thirds of commercial banks, at least 50% of consumer goods manufacturers, and up to two-thirds of major retailers (supermarket chains, large specialized stores, etc.) could participate in the state-run "National Cashback" program, as well as at least one-third of bank card users.

This forecast was shared by Anna Dovhalska, Deputy Chairperson of the Board at GLOBUS BANK.

She reminded that the "National Cashback" program, announced by the President of Ukraine, will launch on September 2, 2024. According to this program, citizens will receive a 10% refund on the value of Ukrainian-made goods they purchase.

According to Dovhalska, the program's goals include stimulating the growth of domestic producers across a wide range of goods, encouraging citizens to buy Ukrainian products at competitive prices, and promoting cashless payments, as cashback will be issued for purchases made with a bank card.

"This program could, on one hand, motivate domestic manufacturers to promote their products by effectively advertising them on the state platform Diia (making buying Ukrainian products trendy) and, on the other hand, increase citizen interest in purchasing Ukrainian-made goods (making buying Ukrainian products beneficial)," emphasized Anna Dovhalska.
