"Energy" Challenges Will Not Globally Affect Bank Operations

Rolling blackouts or even multi-day outages will not have a global impact on bank operations.

This opinion was expressed by Serhii Mamedov, Chairman of the Management Board of GLOBUS BANK.

He reminded that the majority of bank branches are connected to the Power Banking system, ensuring that clients can access a full range of banking services even in the absence of electricity.

"Over the past few months, during frequent power outages, many market participants have successfully optimized their operational processes. This gives reason to believe that bank operations in the fall will be at least satisfactory," the expert emphasized.

In his view, even during power disruptions, there will not be a mass outflow of clients, as favorable conditions have been created for conducting all possible banking operations.

"Throughout the summer, the banking sector has proven that energy problems are not insurmountable. Clients are not withdrawing cash en masse, nor are they closing accounts—there is no 'run on the banks,' despite the constant fears and concerns circulating in society. I believe that the uninterrupted operation of banking institutions will help mitigate negative public sentiment, while strengthening trust in the hryvnia and the state's economic policy," concluded Serhii Mamedov.
